James Hillman is a luxury fashion consultancy based in London. Twenty years across menswear, womenswear, swim, sportswear, leather, SHOE, ACCESSORIES and technical apparel.

James trained at Kingston University, then Central Saint Martins. Early career took him through Milan — under the mentorship of Elio Fiorucci — Balmain in Paris, BCBG in the south of France, and a stint with Korean designer Moon Young Hee. In 2009 he won the Mittelmoda Levi's Award for sustainable clothing (WHERE HE MET ELIO). He has since shown HIS NAME SAKE collections at London Fashion Week and opened Amsterdam Fashion Week.

The consultancy was founded in 2012. The work spans concept and brand direction, design and development, sourcing and production — end to end, with a senior point of view across every decision.

We’re a small team. James leads the work. Trusted collaborators — sample makers, pattern cutters, photographers, factory contacts — come in as projects need them. Capacity without the overhead of an in-house team.
